The Expo contrives beneath the auspices of Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. The Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) established to promote the export, where as per the reports increment of 22 percent had already been recorded.
As avowed by the Council’s Chairman Mr. O.P. Garg, the export rate expects a rise to 25 percent for 2010-11, to $650 million from $525 million as per last year.
Furthermore, as stated by the Chairman, the CEPC anticipates participation of larger influx of buyers as well as the exhibiters. The list of exhibiters includes the producers from all major areas, such as, Mirzapur, Jaipur, Agra, Srinagar, Panipat, Bhadohi and Varanasi, the number reached to 190, during Feb’ 2010 Expo.
