MBA stands for Master’s in Business Administration. It is a two years course and is divided into four semesters. It is a management course which helps in learning the techniques of business and is essential for those who want to join the corporate field. Bangalore is a Hub for IT Industry in India hence people from the country as well as from the world, looks forward to Bangalore for business purpose. There is a good support from the industry for MBA students in terms of training and placements. There are some very good colleges offering MBA in Bangalore. And most of these colleges are affiliated to either Bangalore University or Karnataka University.

A candidate who has passed his degree course in any discipline either science, commerce, arts, or any other can apply for this course. The student must score 50% marks in aggregate in his degree course (45% for the SC ST candidates). FOR admission in MBA Colleges of Bangalore one has to clear KMAT (Karnataka Management Aptitude Test). There are total 99 colleges participating in KMAT and students from across the country can apply for this test. Some other entrance exams such as CAT, GMAT, GRE, etc. are also considered for admission in these colleges.

Some of the best colleges offering MBA in Bangalore are as follow:

Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) – This institute is been ranked for the second time as #1 Business School of India. It offers Post Graduate Program in Management, and around 240 students are given admission every year. This institute is well-known for offering a wide range of courses in the second year of PGP. It helps the students to manage and prepare themselves to lead the business globally.

Alliance Business Academy (ABA) – This institute has earned an A++ in terms of high infrastructure and good quality placements. Also its curriculum is very effective for a good career of the students, as it has been designed by experienced practitioners. Also its faculty is highly qualified and helps students to learn from their talent and professional experience. ABA is ranked among the top 15 private B-Schools in India.

Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME) – This institute was established in 1991 and it contains an infrastructure which is very productive for management learning. Also there is a conference hall and an auditorium with the capacity of 300 students. MBA is the most important of the XIME management programs. Christ College Institute of Management – According to the Outlook Survey this institute is ranked as #23. It offers MBA and makes its students capable for obtaining managerial skills in the field of Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Management, Marketing, Operations and the Behavioral sciences.

Indus Business Academy (IBA) – The mission of this institute is to bring excellence in Corporate Networking, Teaching, Training, and in Placements. It has a world-class infrastructure spread over 5 acres with an eco friendly environment. Apart from curriculum this institute also focuses on the student’s leadership qualities and communicative skills. This institute also has an active Cultural Club named YMCC (Yoga Meditation and Culture Centre), to keep the culture of India alive and also celebrates prominent festivals. Canara Bank School of Management, Administrative Management College, Al-Ameen College, Oxford Educational Institutions, Garden City College of Science and Management, Dayananda Sagar College of Management, St. Joseph's College of Business Administration, East West College of Management, etc. As Bangalore has a wide range of B-Schools, one can choose a good college according to his requirements.
