Does Your Tree Need Surgery?

Many people still don’t entirely understand just what tree surgery involves. It conjures up images of life-saving operation to save critically ill trees, or a delicate job to remove a trunk’s internal organs.

But in many ways, the name surgery is justly deserved. After all, the process does indeed involve operations being performed on the tree, most commonly to those that are decayed or damaged, helping to put them back to health or do what is needed to repair them.

However, surgery can also be cosmetic, and tree surgery is no different. A process called Tree Thinning is essentially a kind of leafy liposuction where the entire density of the tree is reduced meaning that it can grow more easily and more successfully whilst also giving additional room for other plant life to thrive around it.

The main thing to remember about tree surgery is, as with medical surgery, you wouldn’t attempt to do it yourself. Whether you need branches removed for safety or clarity, or an entire tree felling then undertaking such jobs yourself will most likely be extremely dangerous. Like any surgeon, a tree surgeon is highly trained in their field of work and will be able to get the best results in the safest manner.

Tree surgery in London is often extremely necessary due to the health hazards that large trees can pose in such highly populated areas, whilst still being equally as important even in leafier places. Tree surgeons in Oxford might be more concerned with saving damaged trees than those performing tree surgery in London where safety might be the biggest concern, but either way, both are often extremely important.

We often forget just how awesome a force nature is and, every year, many people die due to accidents involving trees. So if you have suspicions a tree might be dangerous, don’t sit back and wait – get the surgeons in as soon as possible.
